Bass Performance Hall

Fort Worth, Texas

This six-and-a-half-foot high angel, bas-relief-carved and backed with green marble, is a muse for the arts and the symbol of the world-class Bass Performance Hall. It forms the centerpiece for the Donor Recognition Wall, and is flanked by eight deep-carved donor-name panels in the building’s grand and mezzanine lobbies. Designed in collaboration with Eileen Avery Graphic Design and David Schwarz of DMS Architects, Washington, D.C.

Christina Amri based the crystal angels on the magnificent three-story limestone angels that grace the outside of the building. Created by sculptor Marton Varo, these elegant figures with their four-story-high wings and 16-foot-long gold leaf trumpets form the face and identity of the Bass Performance Hall.
