To honor the donors responsible for the dramatic conversion of an historic school to a modern center for the arts, Amri Studio designed a Donor Wall that mirrors the goals of the building's renovation and transformation: taking the past and seeing it new. The design takes elements of the past and transforms them in modern, elegant edge-lit crystal. The centerpiece is a rendition of the sundial still preserved on the outside of the building. The symbol of the sun is carried out on each panel, where a slender gold-filled line separates a frosted margin from the donor names. Side panels are laid out in the manner of antique playbills, reminding us that we are in a theater with a history as well as a future. Fifteenth-century fonts were chosen in keeping with the English Tudor style architecture of the building.
