Amri Studio created exciting life-size Art Glass portraits of students past and present for the Alumni Center’s Heritage Gallery. Etched panels of Garrison Keillor and Nobel prizewinner Norman Borlaug stand alongside Olympic winners, renowned scientists, influential politicians, and a lively and varied group of young people from Minnesota's current student body.
In most cases, Amri Studio artists developed the full-body portraits from a head shot or bust of the subject. Models posed in costume to complete each image. All of these imposing and interesting personalities stand in friendly postures as transparent room dividers throughout the vast gallery, peopling and humanizing the space in a highly inviting way.
