Museum of Fine Arts

St. Petersburg, Florida

An elegant monolith of thick carved and polished crystal, ten feet tall and five feet wide, forms the focal point for the entry to this elegant and unique museum, whose collection includes stunning examples of Steuben and other glass masterpieces.

Deep v-carved monument letterforms catch the ambient spotlighting to feature several Giving Levels of Donors. LEDs at top and bottom are hidden in custom hardwood brackets, providing edge-lighting that makes the crystal act like a fiber optic. Thus, the light travels through the glass, highlighting the carved lettering and making its message visible from quite a distance.
